Today's sentencing of convicted bank robber Steven J. Simmons maybe continued to give his new attorney, Jennifer Yturbide, time to prepare. In January, a jury found Simmons guilty in the November 2005 robbery of the Minden Bank of America. The 27-year-old former Mammoth snow park employee then fired his attorney because he felt Young tried to implicate his friend in his closing argument.

It's going to be warm today with the high predicted to hit 75 degrees and the temperatures will remain in the 70s for the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service. There will be a little disturbance in the weather on Tuesday and Wednesday, but there isn't a drop of moisture in sight.

It sounds like Douglas County deputies are working an accident at Vista Grande and Agate in Indian Hills. We'll provide more information as we get it.
