A workout for St. Jude event benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Custom Fit, Exercise & Training Studio, 1166 Annie Court, Suite A, in Minden. The volunteer coordinator for this event is Kathy JC Beamer. Custom Fit encourages everyone to participate and help save the children.
By participating in or attending the event, funds will be raised for children of the world who are stricken with diseases like cancer, AIDS and sickle cell anemia. These funds will help in the ongoing fight against childhood catastrophic diseases.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. No family ever pays for treatments not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. St. Jude is financially supported by American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities, its fund-raising organization, through events such as Workout for St. Jude.
If you are interested in participation or making a donation, call Kathy JC Beamer at 267-3559. For more information on St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, visit www.stjude.org.
