The Sharkey Begovich Memorial Swing for a Cure Golf Tournament Board of Directors and Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare announced that Genoa Lakes Resort Course will be the host of the 2007 tournament. The tournament will be held on May 20 and will consist of two flights, morning and afternoon. Along with a new venue, other new happenings include Mizuno & TaylorMade tour trucks at the course all day and raffle prizes including a golf vacation for four. Registration deadline is April 20.

"This is our fifth year and we are pleased that Genoa Lakes Resort Course will be our tournament site," said tournament director Renea Louie. "While we are grateful to Carson Valley Golf Course for their tremendous support the last four years, the tournament has grown to the point that a bigger venue was needed. Genoa Lakes has been very generous and this year's tournament will offer even more to our players. Lots of reward holes, prizes, challenges ... we guarantee a good time and we guarantee that all proceeds go to the cancer center."

The SFAC Golf Tournament has raised more than $175,000 since the first tournament in 2003. Individual registration is $125. Sponsor/four-person play package is $600. To register, call 790-1544 or register online at www.genoalakes.com.
