The Carson/Douglas Impulse under-16 girls' soccer team took second in the under-17 division at the Ajax Invitational Tournament in Modesto, Calif., on March 10 and 11.
The team won their first match against the Santa Rosa Blue 2-0 and their second against the Walnut Creek Mystics 1-0.
They moved onto the the finals with a 1-0 win over the Modesto Ajax Nightmare before losing to the East Fresno Fusion, currently ranked No. 11 in Northern California.
The Impulse is made up of players from Douglas and Carson high schools.
This was only their second time playing together. They will move on to the Las Vegas Premier at the end of March before heading on to the Boise Performance Cup and the Comstock Shootout in April.
They will also play in the Great Basin Youth Soccer League under-17 division this spring.
