The Douglas County Senior Center will be holding a dance, Saturday from 7-10 p.m. at the center, 2300 Meadow Lane in Gardnerville.
Attendees will be dancing to the music of Don and Nadine. There will be a 50/50 raffle and refreshments will be served. Cost is only $5 per person and all ages are welcome.
-- Also on Saturday, Ray and Esther Hildebrand will lead the Young at Heart Senior Citizens Club in their monthly hike along Jobs Peak Ranch trail.
Participants should meet at the center at 9 a.m. This is a 3-mile round trip hike with a slight elevation gain. There is a $1 transportation fee. Bring a lunch, water and wear good walking shoes.
"It's a pretty hike and you'll have enough energy left for the dance later that night," say organizers.
