Sponsored by the Douglas County Bar Association, the program includes discussions on the role of the court interpreter; the legal bases; equal access to information; Nevada certification; and the interpreter code of ethics.

Additional emphasis will be placed on dealing with Spanish-speaking clients. While the program is oriented to lawyers, the general public is invited. Registration begins at 11:30 am. Cost is $15, including lunch, tax, and tip.

Reinshagen-Hernandez has an extensive professional background as an interpreter and translator, including service for the G8 Summit and the Summer and Winter Olympics. She is in great demand in both state and federal courts in Nevada and elsewhere.
