High Sierra Fellowship


Non-denominational Good Friday services will be held at the Minden Park at noon on April 6. This annual service is designed for those who can take a break for lunch and worship in an informal atmosphere. The service lasts about 30 minutes and is open to the entire community.


Easter Sunday services will be held April 8 at 9:30 a.m. at High Sierra Fellowship, 1516 Highway 395, Suite E, in the Haas Center, Gardnerville. There will be music and Pastor Rich Lammay will deliver a message about the resurrection of Christ.

Trinity Lutheran


Trinity Lutheran Church of Gardnerville will celebrate the Easter season with the following services:


-- April 1, 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. The Procession of the Palms, The Passion according to Saint Luke and Festive Holy Eucharist.


-- April 5, 7 p.m. The Maundy Thursday Liturgy, First Communions and Stripping of the Altar.


-- April 6, noon and 7 p.m. Good Friday Services at Midday with Devotions, The Passion according to Saint John with Good Friday Devotions.


-- April 7, 5:30 p.m. Sierra Spirit Contemporary Praise


-- April 8, 7:45 a.m. The Early Easter Liturgy; 9:30 a.m. Easter Continental Breakfast; 10:45 a.m. The Late Easter Liturgy.

St. Gall Catholic


Easter is right around the corner and Lenten preparations are well under way at St. Gall Catholic Church. The public is encouraged to attend worship.


Passion/Palm Sunday, gather in front of the church to begin Mass and bless palms March 31/April 1; Masses at 8 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. on April 3 and 4; Holy Thursday/ Mandatum 7 p.m. April 5; Stations of the Cross 12:10 p.m , Good Friday/Veneration of the Cross 7 p.m. April 6; Holy Saturday/Vigil of Easter, 7 p.m. April 7. Meet in front of the church to begin Mass and bless the Easter fire. There will be no Spirit Mass and no Spanish Mass.


Easter Sunday/Resurrection of Christ April 8 - Sunrise Mass of the Resurrection 6 a.m., Mass of the Resurrection 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the church and Pastoral Center and Charismatic Mass (bilingual) at 1 p.m.
