Nono's Home Decor is having a workshop on home design for spring 6 p.m. tonight. Home stagers and designers Robyn Maxwell and Toni Loren will solve decorating challenges and give demonstrations on ways to do home make-overs, accessorize and use floral color indoors and outdoors.
The free event is about one and a half hours long. Refreshments will be served.

Credit union announces new
board of directors
Greater Nevada Credit Union announced its new board of directors during its 58th annual meeting at the Eagle Station branch in Carson City on March 13. The meeting was open to all members of Greater Nevada.
The new board of directors is board chair Bill Arensdorf, vice chair Rob Joiner, secretary Shirley Faiella, treasurer Paul Richey and directors Vernon Dalton, Marilyn Koschella and Steve Watson. Each board member serves a three-year term.
"It's an honor to work with the people on our board of directors," said Greater Nevada Credit Union's President and Chief Executive Officer Wally Murray.
Business training for veterans presented
The Nevada Procurement Outreach Program presents a Nevada business matchmaking event in conjunction with the Veterans Business Outreach Center and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers/South Pacific Division.
The sixth annual Veterans and Small Business Training and Outreach Conference is April 19 at John Ascuaga's Nugget, Sparks.
The cost for the three-day conference is $150, which includes the business matchmaking event. Cost is $35 for the business matchmaking event only.
