The Douglas softball team scored 27 runs while sweeping past the Hug Hawks in a doubleheader in Reno Saturday.
The Tigers collected 17 hits as a team in the first game as Emily Weaver, Tisha Luken and Lauren Hoppe each went 3-for-4.
Hoppe doubled and Weaver tripled as each drove in two runs while Luken added a double and triple to drive in three runs.
Katrina Morgan also drove in three runs, going 2-for-3 at the plate. Morgan Barone drove in two runs, hitting a home run along the way and Donna Judd and Stephanie Harper each drove in one.
Harper struck out three and walked one while scattering five hits and two runs over five innings of work
In game two, Dorothy Sliva picked up her first varsity win, giving up two hits and one earned run through five innings of work. The Hawks managed to bring five runs across on three hits in the sixth but Sliva struck out six and walked two to pick up the victory.
Weaver again led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 and driving in a run.
Marina Diaz and Sliva each had two hits and an RBI and Diaz tripled. Catcher Kayla Moore doubled and drove in two runs, Hoppe drove in two and Angella Stephenson had a team-leading three RBIs.
Douglas improved to 10-4 on the year heading into Wednesday's matchup against Reno at Douglas High School at 3:30 p.m.

Douglas topped Hug 20-0 Thursday with a combined no-hitter pitched by Morgan Pope and Megan Mitchitarian.
Douglas had 13 hits with Kendra Blum collecting three and Erika Evans, Rebecca Trute and Mitchitarian each getting two.
Trute and Mitchitarian each had a triple.
Jesika Lamb, Bryanna Schinzing, Ali Murray and Rachel Davis each had one hit. Schinzing's hit was a double.
Douglas took Saturday's doubleheader 25-1 and 27-0 with Pope allowing three hits in the first game and Mitchitarian allowing one in the second.
Davis pitched one inning in each game, surrending just one hit.
In the first game, Katelyn Lee had three hits with a double, Trute and Tara Paiement had two hits each and Davis, Lamb, Morgan Blomstrom, Murry and Evans each had one hit.
Douglas had 14 hits as a team in the second with Evans, Blomstrom, Lamb and Schinzing each collecting two. Evans and Schinzing each doubled and Blomstrom and Trute each tripled.
Davis, Trute, Katelyn Lee, Stephanie Lee, Paiement and Kaytlynn DiSalvo each had one.
