Items needed for People to People fundraiser

Kendra Blum is having a fundraising event to raise money for her People to People Student Ambassador trip to Europe this summer. A yard sale at 1539 Highway 395 will be held April 29 beginning at 8 a.m.

Anyone wishing to donate quality items can contact Kendra at 265-7545. Items can be picked up.

Kendra is an honor student at Carson Valley Middle School and a JV softball player at Douglas High School. She plays Douglas County Parks & Recreation softball and is on a softball tournament team.

The People to People Student Ambassador program was started by Dwight D. Eisenhower in an effort to promote world peace through increased understanding between the citizens of the world, through our youth. Kendra was nominated because of her acedemic achievements and she is required to raise as much of her own tuition as possible.
