Charity basket raffle and ice cream social benefits school

The Gardnerville Elementary School PTSO is presenting its seventh annual Charity Basket Raffle, Ice Cream Social and Art Show, 5:30-8 p.m. May 15 at Gardnerville Elementary School, 1290 Toler Ave., Gardnerville.

Each class has created a basket to be raffled off with all the proceeds going to charity. There will be 27 baskets and 20 different charities to support.

The raffle will begin at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $1 at the door. Each ticket sold represents $1 for the charity. Last year the basket raffle raised $3,300 for various charities.

The Ice Cream Social is sponsored by Cougar Leadership and all the proceeds go toward projects around the school.
