Frank H. Bogart
1917-2007
A funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville for Frank H. Bogart, 89, who died May 7, 2007 in Carson City.
Mr. Bogart was born July 7, 1917 in Rochester, N.Y., to Frank Bogart Sr. and Freida Hahn. He was a high school graduate and went to optical technician college. He was an optician for 50 years and worked for the company that developed the Hubble Space Telescope. He was raised in Rochester, moved to Orange, Calif. in 1963 and was a resident of Gardnerville for the past 17 years. He married his wife, Mary Pierce, June 28, 1986 in Orange. He was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Mary Bogart of Gardnerville; his sons Dennis Bogart of Huntington Beach, Calif., Gary Bogart of Denver, Colo., and Wayne Bogart of Sydney, Australia; his stepsons Mike Jackson and David Jackson both of Gardnerville; daughters Phyllis deRosett of Gardnerville, Janet Gregory of Half Moon Bay, Calif. and Nancy Niemeyer of Santa Clara, Calif.; stepdaughters Cynthia Hery of South Lake Tahoe and Jody Turney of San Clemente, Calif. as well as his brother Jerry Bogart of Cranberry Lake, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are in the care of Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. Cremation and inurnment will take place at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. Memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer's research.
