Soroptimist International of Carson Valley is selling the 2007 edition of the Carson Valley Day Buttons.
Buying a button for $1 insures the wearer against being thrown in "jail" at the Carson Valley Days Parade on June 9.
Wearing a Carson Valley Days button at the parade is one of the many traditions of Carson Valley Days.
This year's theme is a Tribute to the Troops and the button is a design of an eagle's head superimposed on the American flag.
Anyone collecting previous year's buttons, Soroptimist International of Carson Valley is offering prior year's buttons for 75 cents each.
They can be purchased at Sierra Nevada Trading Co. until June 9 or at the Minden Craft Faire on June 2-3.
Proceeds from this fundraiser go to the many local and community service projects sponsored by Soroptimist International of Carson Valley.
