The Carson Valley Art Association is calling for artists to enter its Carson Valley Days show in the CVIC Hall at Esmeralda Avenue and Fourth Street in Minden. All living artists from Northern Nevada and adjoining California counties are invited to participate.
Receiving will be 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7 in the CVIC Hall. Nothing is accepted after 4 p.m. Entry fees are $4 for members, $6 for non-members or $3 for high school students, for up to three entries. All entries must be genuinely for sale and a 15 percent donation will retained by CVAA.
All paintings must be dry and wired for hanging. No sawtooth hangers or uniframes are allowed. No crafts, jewelry or computer-generated art are allowed. The show committee may refuse work not meeting the requirements or deemed in poor taste. The unsold work will be picked up from 3-4 p.m. June 10 at the CVIC Hall.
Worked not picked up, will be charged $5 a day storage and may be picked up at the East Fork Gallery, 782-7629. This is not a juried show and no ribbons or cash prizes will be awarded, other than a "people's choice" ribbon at the end of the show.
Show hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 8, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 9 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 10. The community is invited to the show and to an artists' reception, 6-8 p.m. June 8. Refreshments will be served.
