BASEBALL


Bryan Miller, jr., OF, Troy University: Troy is 33-23 overall on the year and 16-14 in Sun Belt Conference play heading into the conference tournament.


Cal Lewis, sr., 3B, South Dakota State: Went 2-for-2 with an RBI in a 4-1 win over Northern Colorado. The Jackrabbits head out to the Division I Independent Tournament this week.


Chris Honer, soph., P, Point Loma: Season over.


Shane Cauley, jr., OF, Chico State: Chico State beat Nebraska Kearney in the West Regional, but were elminated by Mesa State later in the day. Cauley finished the year with a .333 average and a .417 slugging percentage.


D.J. Brady, fr., OF, Mesa College: Season over.


Chad Walling, soph., INF, Western Nevada: The Wildcats advanced to the NJCAA World Series, running their win streak to eight after taking the Western District Regional Championship. Walling becomes the second former Tiger to play in the NJCAA World Series in as many years after Bryan Miller played there last year with Mesa College.




SOFTBALL


Kristy Olsen, jr., 3B/OF, Iowa State: Season over.


Brittany Puzey, soph., OF, Nevada: Puzey was selected to the All-West Region second team last week.


She is the first player in Nevada softball history to receive the distinction.


She ended the year leading the team in slugging percentage (.665), total bases (113), RBIs (52), runs scored (33), doubles (18) and home runs (13). She had a .329 batting average and was one of two players to start all 59 games for the Wolf Pack.


Valerie Smith, soph., C, Columbia: Smith was named to the All-Ivy League second-team, marking her second year as an all-conference selection.


She batted .301 in her sophomore season with three home runs and a team-leading 23 RBIs.


Kayla Dunn, soph., P/IF, Feather River: Season over.

Daniel Sipko, jr. , Eastern Oregon: Season over.


Ryan Bertucci, fr. , Chico State: Season over.


Andi Villasenor, sr., Mount Holyoke College: Season over.
