The Summer Concert Series free Concerts in the Park open tonight at Minden Park featuring Hotel California "A Salute to the Eagles" from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

If attending the Concert in the Park, the Minden/Douglas Elks Lodge No. 2670 will provide food and non-alcoholic beverages for sale, but many families like to bring their own picnic dinners.

"With inspired vocal harmonies and authentic instrumentation, including all specialty instruments, this critically acclaimed show, faithfully and accurately reproduces the Grammy award winning sounds of the Eagles, in a stage spectacle that is both modern and exciting," according to information provided by Douglas County Parks & Recreation, presenters of the show.

The Summer Concert Series includes: the Comstock Cowboys on July 13; the Jeff Jones Band on July 27; the John Jorgenson Quintet on Aug. 10; and the Michael Powers Band on Aug. 24. Sponsors of tonight's concert are Carson Valley Inn and David Walley's Resort Hot Springs & Spa.
