Tanya and Michael Olson of Carson City are pleased to announce the June wedding of their daughter Kandice Olson to James Gau, son of Jim and Sheryl Gau of American Fork, Utah.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Douglas High School and a student at Western Nevada Community College majoring in elementary education and is due to graduate in December 2007. She is currently employed as a recreation leader with Douglas County Parks & Recreation and she lives in Carson City.
The future groom was a 2001 graduate of American Fork High School in Utah and is a student at Western Nevada Community College majoring in business management. He is employed as a bank teller at Wells Fargo Bank and a resident of Gardnerville.
The wedding is set to take place 6 p.m. June 22, 2007, in a traditional outdoor setting at the home of the bride's aunt and uncle. The future bride will be escorted down the aisle by her father and attended by her best friend for nine years, Amy Fried of Houston, Texas, as matron of honor. Her other attendants will be her sister Krystina Olson and best friends Jessica Merrill and Katie Schuler.
Best man for the groom will be his cousin and best friend, Robert Williams. His other attendants will be his brothers Aaron and Bret Gau and his friend Colton Mathews. The flower girl will be Katrina Olson, sister of the bride and the groom's brother Jonathon Gau will be the ring bearer.
The ceremony will be performed by Bishop David Haws. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
