The family of a missing 71-year-old Gardnerville Ranchos woman renewed their call for help in locating Wiltrude Moritz who was last seen May 12 at her home.

Family members believe the woman is suffering from dementia and said she requires daily medication which she has not received for two weeks.

She is described as Caucasian, with white hair and hazel eyes.

Moritz was last seen wearing a white v-neck shirt, black pants and light blue Keds shoes.

She drives a faded 1991 Mazda 929 four-door sedan with Nevada license 874TYN.

Sheriff's Sgt. Tom Mezzetta said Moritz's family had been monitoring her financial transactions, but after a few local transactions in the first few days of her disappearance, there has been no activity.

"Her family is very concerned for her welfare and the sheriff's office would appreciate any help in ensuring her safe return home," Mezzetta said.

Anyone with information of her whereabouts is asked to call Douglas County Sheriff's Investigator Greg Rooney at 782-9905 or their local law enforcement agency.
