Traffic is being diverted down Genoa Lane after an accident at Highway 395 and Johnson Lane this morning.
Officers have the highway's northbound lanes closed at 395 and Airport Road and traffic is backing up.
Many motorists are turning down Genoa Lane and taking Jacks Valley Road north into Carson City.
