An AARP Driver Safety course sponsored by Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department will be given at the Kahle Community Center, 236 Kingsbury Grade, Stateline, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Preregistration is required. Call the community center at 586-7271 to sign up. A $10 classroom fee, payable at the start of the course, covers the workbook and materials cost. Irvine "Irv" Phillips will be the instructor. Those who complete the class should be eligible for a discount on their auto insurance.
