I didn't get much in the way of information on Monday's 5 p.m. accident at Johnson Lane and Highway 395. According to Trooper Chuck Allen, who talked to the investigator a northbound BMW traveling at a high rate of speed struck a pickup from behind so hard it broke the axle. The BMW then careened around until it landed in the opposing lanes where it was hit by a Honda. The driver of the Honda was helicoptered by Care Flight to Renown, where she was treated for Allen said were minor injuries and released.
