There's a big old fog bank in the Valley this morning so be careful on the commute. The National Weather Service says it will break up by 9 a.m., but I've seen these things last until noon. Once the fog clears the sun is supposed to be back out and the high today is supposed to hit something resembling 65.
There was a property damage vehicle accident on Kingsbury Grade at about 5:47 a.m. so there's something else to keep an eye out for.
County commissioners will tour the lower Cave Rock water tank in Glenbrook today to wrap up a pretty short meeting at Lake Tahoe. Among the items on their agenda is a request to accept a $250,000 donation by Raymond Sidney to expand Kahle Community Center and the second reading of an ordinance expanding the use of bear-proof trash bins to the rest of Douglas County, except for Minden and Gardnerville, where recently we've seen the most bears. The meeting starts at 1:30 p.m. at the county's offices, 169 Highway 50 in Stateline. Don't be late or blink, because it should be over in under two hours.
The weather we were supposed to get keeps getting pushed back and is now expected to arrive on Sunday night. There will be a slight chance of showers and way cooler temperatures for Thanksgiving week, when highs will drop into the 40s.
