Postal Service customers in Nevada and the Lake Tahoe region benefited from some of the highest on-time delivery rates for first-class mail.
That's according to statistics provided by the Postal Service for the fourth quarter ending Sept. 30.
Officials said the Nevada-Sierra District had a 97 percent on-time delivery rate, tying with a number of other districts around the country for the highest delivery performance.
District manager Shaun Mossman credits employees and efficient mail processing and delivery operations.
First-class mail performance is measured by IBM Global Business Services, which measures the delivery rate based on when mail is deposited in a collection box until it's delivered.
