Terra and her husband Andrew Huber grew up in Lake Tahoe and Carson Valley but a year ago they decided to live here in the Johnson Lane area. Terra said the typical one acre lot size was appealing to her for the children to have lots of room to play. They found a lovely home off Stephanie that is in a very quiet neighborhood. They also felt Piñon Hills Elementary School was the best school in the Valley for their children to be educated.
Their daughter Amiya is in first grade at Piñon and they have their brand new daughter born on Nov. 2, 2007, named McKinzy. Congratulations.
Andrew works right here in Johnson Lane for Western Woodworking making and installing custom cabinets.
Terra is a licensed phlebotomist, however with the birth of McKinzy she has decided to make a career change. She has fixed up their home to provide quality childcare for your children, all day or before and after school at reasonable rates.
Your school age children can take the bus right to her street and Terra can help them with reading, math, crafts and homework. If you have toddler age children she has a great set-up with a playroom like a sunroom that is warm and cozy. She has a large fenced and secure backyard with a swing set and other climbing structures.
If you are tired of large daycare facilities that don't offer as much one on one contact with your child, give Terra Huber a call. She would love to have you drop-in and check out her home. Phone number is 292-0346.
Pinenut Trail
Association
Brian Doyle is the president of the Pinenut Trail Association and could use some help 10 a.m. Saturday. They will organize two work parties with posthole diggers and shovels and wheel barrels. Show up at the east end of Stephanie to find Gerry Hutchison who will give instructions on how to help put up two kiosks, one at Stephanie and one up at the trail head by Mexican Dam. These kiosks will have a bulletin board with information on trails for motorized vehicles as well as horse and hiking trails and codes of conduct. The work crews are all volunteers interested in keeping our spaces open for the public use. Please come out and lend a hand.
Piñon Hills
Elementary School
This week is parent/teacher conferences, so school is out at 12:30 p.m. today and tomorrow and there is no school on Friday. Kids, enjoy the break.
