Convicted child molester James Hope is scheduled to make an appearance in Douglas County District Court today. Hope's arraignment has been continued several times and there's no guarantee it will go forward today.

Also before the court, are three Reno teens who allegedly went joyriding in two vehicles at Lake Tahoe and panicked when they spotted a Douglas patrol car. The three were apprehended in October after a short chase into Glenbrook, where one of the vehicles hit a tree in an effort to escape. Jessica Highline, 19, Leah Rose Turner, 19, and Anthony David Karnes are on the court docket this morning.

A fire on Granite Way in Topaz Ranch Estates damaged a home 6 p.m. Saturday. The fire was extinguished quickly. We'll have more today on what happened.

It looks like there won't be any snow on Tuesday and a pretty good chance of none for the rest of the week, at least according to the National Weather Service. The sun is forecast to make an appearance today, with the high temperature climbing to 53 degrees at 2 p.m., which is about 90 minutes before the sun goes down in Genoa. The low tonight will come up to 25 degrees.
