The names of two Johnson Lane residents injured in a traffic accident on Monday were released by the Nevada Highway Patrol on Thursday.

Sharon Bachman, 56, and Ross Granahan, 17, were hurt in the accident that occurred 2:22 p.m. at the intersection of Airport Road and Highway 395.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman Scott Simon, Bachman was westbound on Airport Road in a Ford Bronco.

Bachman stopped at the stop sign and then pulled out into the path of a Toyota pickup driven north by Granahan.

Both Bachman and Granahan were transported to Renown Medical Center by Care Flight helicopter with serious injuries.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Granahan's mother, Lisa, said he is home recovering. Bachman's status was not available.

No citation was issued in the accident pending reconstruction of the accident and an investigation by the highway patrol, Simon said.

The results of the investigation will be forwarded to the Douglas County District Attorney's Office, Simon said.

A second accident at the intersection occurred at 3:16 p.m. as authorities were cleaning up the first.

Simon said both vehicles were southbound on Highway 395 when one slowed for traffic and the other didn't. Both drivers reported injuries and were transported by East Fork medical personnel.
