The Carson Valley Children's Center hosts the third annual Cowboyup 4 Kids, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda Ave., Minden. Live music by Roaddaddy and a hamburger lunch. Food, beer, wine and refreshments will be available for purchase including Sheriff Ron Pierini's goat tacos. Live auction, raffle prizes and craft activities for children. 4-H Fall Festival


at Lampe Park


The 12th annual Fall Festival & Pumpkin Patch is 10 a.m. Ð 2 p.m., Saturday at Lampe Park pavilion in Gardnerville. The free event is sponsored by University of Nevada Cooperative Extension's 4-H program, Douglas County Parks & Recreation and Joe Benigno's Tree Service. Information, 782-9960.



Sertoma bingo


Carson Valley Sertoma Bingo is Saturday at the Douglas County Senior Center dining room in Gardnerville. Doors open at 11 a.m., early bird bingo starts 12:30 p.m. with two packs for $4. Regular session begins at 1 p.m. with the buy-in of two packs for $10. Progressive blackout is $1 per sheet.


Popcorn and coffee will be provided and there will be drawings for raffle prizes at the end of play. Snacks and hot dogs will be available for sale. Information, Cindy 267-7723.




Elks luau fundraiser

The Minden/Douglas Elks second annual luau 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the CVIC Hall in Minden. Cost is $35 per person, music and entertainment by The Big Tsunami, menu by Richard Wilde. Lions fundraiser


The Antelope Valley Lions Club hosts the 43rd annual Deer Hunters Family Barbecue, 5 p.m. Saturday at the Walker Community Building in Walker. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for 12 and younger. Enter to win a 47-inch LCD High Definition TV, $5 per ticket. Raffle tickets for other prizes are $1 each. Country concert at Methodist church


Carson Valley United Methodist Church chancel choir performs a variety of old and new songs in their ninth annual musical variety show, "A Country Sampler," a tribute to music director Cindy McIntosh, 6:30 p.m. Sunday at 1375 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville.
