The Alpine County Women's Center will be having an open house at its new location, downstairs from their old location, 14810 Highway 89, downtown Markleeville from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday. Information on the services provided for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse will be available.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The Alpine County Women's Center offers counseling, shelter, food, clothing, transportation and accompaniment to court or doctors appointments and basic needs.
