A 42-year-old Carson City woman was ordered to spend six months in Douglas County Jail on Wednesday after her probation was revoked for smoking methamphetamine.

Karen Sclafani was a passenger in a vehicle which was stopped by the Carson City Street Enforcement Team in Carson City.

She admitted violating her probation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sclafani was one of five people arrested in January in a pre-dawn raid on a house in Johnson Lane.

She was sentenced to six months in Douglas County Jail which was suspended and she was placed on probation.

Sclafani told East Fork Judge Jim EnEarl on Wednesday she would rather do the time and get off probation.

"You're too old to be doing crank. Think about what you're doing with your life. You are circling the drain," EnEarl said.

He told Sclafani she could apply for an in-patient substance abuse treatment program. She said she attended a six-month program in California in 2001.

She was arrested Jan. 10 after officers recovered 2 ounces of methamphetamine with a street value of $5,600 at a house on East Valley Road.

A motorcycle which had been stolen in Reno also was discovered at the residence.
