The Daughters of Norway Queen Maud Lodge No. 42 meet 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, at the corner of Saliman and Highway 50 in Carson City.
The sixth anniversary of the active Daughters of Norway Lodge is celebrated with a Scandinavian potluck smorgasbord and a lefse demonstration by Dorothy Nelson.
Founded in 2001, the group presents programs to maintain knowledge of the history, culture and language of Norway and to build a support system and friendship within the group.
Women of Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic heritage or who are married or have been married to a Norwegian are invited to join. Information, 782-5259.
