A 56-year-old woman, who has spent most of the year in jail accused of selling methamphetamine from her Johnson Lane home, is expected to admit one count of trafficking in District Court this morning. Nadine Murray was arrested during a drug raid in January. She waived her preliminary hearing in August. Murray is facing at least two years in prison and should her husband be convicted, the loss of their East Valley Road home.
I got a phone call from ABC Radio on Monday that Sir Richard Branson told interviewers on the "Today" show that he had all but given up hope that Steve Fossett would be found alive. The reporter wanted to know what was going on here. The answer was simple. Nothing. The signal that perhaps it was time to move on came two weeks ago when a state spokesman told the Associated Press that deer hunters would probably come across the crash site before the official search did. Fossett, 63, disappeared five weeks ago in a borrowed airplane.
After Monday, it may be the height of cross-eyed optimism to claim there's any rain coming. And yet, the National Weather Service has the rain in the headlights graphic up for tonight, saying there is a 70 percent chance of moisture. There's a 100 percent chance we will have wind with gusts of up to 30 mph during the day. The chance for rain goes way up at about 5 p.m. and passes at 4 a.m. The high today is expected to hit 62.
