Visitors to and residents of Topaz Ranch Estates now have a new place to eat, LG's Off the Grill, serving Mexican food.
The restaurant is named after owners Lawrence and Liz Garcia who have lived in Topaz for four years and are originally from Santa Barbara, Calif.
Lawrence Garcia graduated from the Santa Barbara City College School of Culinary Arts. Liz Garcia is currently a coordinator of a youth prevention program for the Washoe Tribe of Nevada & California.
"Our business is family owned and operated. It offers personable service, great food, great prices and also catering services," said the Garcias.
The restaurant offers burritos, tortas and tacos for lunch and dinner, and huevos rancheros, among other things, for breakfast.
The Garcias said they wanted to mention the rest of their family: their son, Jay Garcia, who serves in the U.S. Military and is preparing for his second tour in Iraq; their daughter Cheyenne Garcia who attends Douglas High School; and their second son, Sage Garcia, who is a student at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School.
LG's Off the Grill is located at 3920 Carter Way in Topaz Ranch Estates and is open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and open for dinner Monday through Sunday, 5 to 7:30 p.m.
