Emergency personnel are rescuing a woman injured when her vehicle when over the side just west of Carson Pass.
The report came into dispatch at 10:30 a.m. The accident involves a 30-year-old woman. Highway 88 is being closed to serve as a landing zone for an ambulance helicopter.
The woman reportedly has head injuries. The accident is under the jurisdiction of the California Highway Patrol.
