The Western Nevada Musical Theatre Company auditions multiple featured leads, dance troupes and choruses for "Annie Get Your Gun" and "Damn Yankees," 6 p.m. Nov. 13, in Sarah Winnemucca Hall at Western Nevada College's Carson City campus.
"Annie Get Your Gun" plays at the Carson City Community Center on Feb. 8-17. Rehearsals begin Nov. 26. The show tells the love story of Annie Oakley and Frank Butler and includes the songs "There's No Business Like Show Business" and "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better."
Rehearsals begin Feb. 21 for "Damn Yankees," playing at the Carson City Community Center on May 9Ð18. The comedy tells of a baseball fan who wants to sell his soul to beat the Yankees. Featured songs include "You Gotta Have Heart" and "Whatever Lola Wants."
Both shows are produced and directed by Stephanie Arrigotti and choreographed by Gina Kaskie-Davis and play in a 700-seat theater accompanied by a live orchestra.
Cast members must register with WNC's Performing Arts Program to participate in the productions. All credit students receive a scholarship to defray half their tuition. This course applies to an associate of arts degree with an emphasis in musical theater at WNC. Information, (775) 445-4249.
