Girls' Soccer: Douglas tops Elko in overtime

The Douglas HIgh girls' soccer team came up with a clutch win in overtime against Elko Friday afternoon in the first round of the Northern 4A State Girls' Soccer Playoffs at Damonte Ranch HIgh School.


Tianna Gregory scored a goal in the 115th minute off an assist from midfielder Lisa Christen to give the Tigers a 2-1 victory over the Indians.


Ally Freitas got the Tigers on the board earlier in the game with the first goal.


Douglas will play South Tahoe in a rematch of the regular season finale Wednesday at Damonte Ranch.
