Women's club bazaar

Nov. 11, opening at noon, will be the date and time for this club's annual bazaar of crafts and gift items. They will be serving a traditional roast beef or chicken dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m., at a cost of $10 for adults and $5 for children 3-10 years old. There are a lot of good raffle prizes, door prizes, and white elephant items to be won, so check it all out. Raffle tickets are available in advance from women's club members, or they can be bought at the door.

Artists' show at the senior center

Also on Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Antelope Valley Artists will be showing their works at the senior center. These people are very talented, and it is always such fun to see their creative ability displayed. If you are an artist and would like to participate, call Nancy at (530) 495-2488 or Sandra at (530) 495-2595.

High school teams getting very busy

-- Coleville's football team will play the team from Wells in their first round of Western 1A playoffs this Saturday at the high school field, starting at 1 p.m. Let's get out there and show them how proud we are of their perfect season and winning the league title.

-- The girls' volleyball team will be in Reno Nov. 2 and 3 for their regional games before the state tournament in Las Vegas on November 9 and 10. They have also had a spectacular year, so we're rooting for them to continue their success.

Coleville Boosters dinner coming

Saturday, Nov. 17, the Coleville High School Boosters Club will host a western-style barbecue at the Walker Community Center. The doors will open at 4 p.m., with dinner starting at 5 p.m. Dinner for adults is $12 and $6 for children younger than 12 years old. Any donations for the dinner or their auction will be greatly appreciated. You can call (760) 932-7101 or (530) 495-2134 for more details or to make a donation. This evening helps to support the students at Coleville High School, so it is certainly worthwhile.
