In a phone call from Topaz Ranch Estates General Improvement District's Operations Manager, Ole Chavez, proudly announced the completion of 3.3 miles of road base upgrades on the following roads: Diamond, Flint, Breccia, Rock, Opal, Agate, Ruby, Garnet, Pine Nut, Piñon, Spattercone, Marble, Slate Court and Lava.

"We worked hard to get these roads completed before winter weather made them all muddy," Chavez said about the project.

I am sure that the residents that use these roads will appreciate the improvements when with winter right around the corner.

The Topaz Joe's Throwers dart team won their match Tuesday night at Topaz Joe's Grill and Bar against the Carson All Stars, winning their game, 10-3, making it two out of three games so far this season, losing only to the undefeated French Bar dart team on Oct. 23. Team members are Bill Minteer, his son William Minteer Jr., Ole Chavez and Tony Norfolk. Congratulations guys.

Topaz Joe's Grill and Bar is offering karaoke every Thursday night provided by RJ's Psycho-Attitude Karaoke beginning at 8 p.m. and going until the crowd thins out. Also, a very special get well wish to Becky Williams, who suffered a heart attack last week, is now on the mend and anxious to get back to work behind the counter at the Nevada Trading Co. We all miss her laugh, her teasing and her smiling face. Everyone needs you back as soon as you possibly can, Becky. There is a donation jar on the counter in the store for anyone who would like to donate a little something to help Becky until she is totally back on her feet.

So Becky, from all of us...we know you will keep on keepin' on.
