The search for famed aviator Steve Fossett enters its eighth day as aircraft take off from Minden-Tahoe Airport in a few hours. It has been a decade since the Nevada Wing of the Civil Air Patrol has engaged in a search this long. That search, in October and November of 1997 for a floatplane containing four people, took 10 days and cost the lives of two searchers.
