The remaining wooden poles on Main Street were removed early Thursday morning, and the sidewalks are in the process of being replaced in those areas, according to Gardnerville Town Manager Jim Park.

"The Town of Gardnerville would like to thank the Carson Valley community, local residents and adjacent businesses for their patience during this major project," Park said in a statement Thursday afternoon.

Small amounts of remaining clean-up work on this project will be completed in the next few weeks, primarily off of the Main Street thoroughfare. This has been a cooperatively funded project between the Town of Gardnerville and the Nevada Department of Transportation.
