According to Sgt. Tom Mezzetta of Douglas County Sheriff's Office, an autopsy scheduled Tuesday for 8-year-old Britt Mattinson yielded inconclusive results.
"They didn't find anything out of the ordinary," said Mezzetta.
Mezzetta said more extensive testing is needed to determine the child's cause of death.
Douglas County defers all official autopsies to the Washoe County Coroner's Office.
Britton Mattinson died Saturday after collapsing to the ground while practicing flag football.
