It's 43 years and counting. That's how long the Antelope Valley Lions Club has been hosting the annual Antelope Valley Lions Club Deer Hunter's Family Barbecue.
The club will be preparing a deep-pit barbecue which will be 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Walker Community Building.
As a new menu addition, they have added ribs.
All this with all the trimmings plus desserts for $10 adults and $5 for ages 12 and younger.
Many raffle prizes including a hunting rifle with scope for $1 a ticket or a 47 inch wide screen LCD, high definition TV for $5 per ticket and you need not be present to win.
Tickets may be purchased from any Lions club member or sold at the door along with raffle tickets and the special drawing tickets.
All proceeds from this annual event are used for Lions club sight programs, scholarships and many other things they support.
The Lions club has been the most active service group in the world and will continue to help their communities and less fortunate people around the globe with your generous support.
