Riding a three-game win streak, the Douglas football team will face one of its biggest tests of the season tonight as the Tigers play host to Hug.
Hug comes in with a deceiving 1-3 record overall, having faced two of the North's top teams in Galena and McQueen.
The Hawks' third loss came in the season-opener against California power Clovis East.
Last week, Hug opened up league play with a 20-0 win over South Tahoe.
The Tiger defense has been very tough against the run, allowing 119.25 yards per game and 3.67 yards per carry.
Douglas (3-1, 1-0) will need every bit of that as Hug comes in with a stable of talented ball carriers, led by Courtney Gardner and Tonio Burton.
Quarterback Duke Williams is a dual threat, having thrown for 252 yards this season and run for another 74.
The Tiger offense is averaging 225.5 yards per game on the ground and 94.5 yards through the air.
Douglas won last year's matchup in Reno 34-7 and Hug won the previous two 28-6 in Minden and 26-14 in Reno.
Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Keith "Duke" Roman Field in Minden.
