The Douglas girls' tennis team remained on a roll and, more importantly, remained in the thick of the league title race with a 15-3 victory over North Valleys in Reno Thursday afternoon.
The win pushed Douglas' league record to 6-0 with Reno and South Tahoe, the only other teams in the title race, standing as the remaining teams on the Tigers' schedule next week.
Douglas' singles players posted a 7-2 record against the Panthers as freshman Amelia Ritger improved to 19-0 on the year with two wins and Samantha Barns improved to 14-4 with two wins of her own.
Sophomore Cesarina Ceglia picked up two wins to run her season record to 11-6 and Sophie Lyles picked up the Tigers' remaining singles win.
In doubles play, seniors Sarah Barnhill and Lauren Seymour teamed up to win two matches in 12 straight games, running their season record to 18-1 and Madison VanderByl and Jackie Sunderland teamed up to win two more, pushing their record to 13-4.
Caitlyn Boddy and Jenna Dykes had one win, and the teams of Marissa Delgadillo-Linsey Glass, Mariana Aguliar-Alicia Dreyer and Liz Nickles-Kat Merrill each posted a win.
