Editor:
Thank you for your coverage of the Valley Cruisers 20th Main Street Event of Aug. 17-19 at Lampe Park. On Saturday, Aug. 18, we presented "Fashions and Vehicles in Time," from 1912 to 1970. It was a fashion show with themes, using the vehicles and clothing representative of the era. I created this fashion show and had the privilege of working with wonderful people. Most of the models were teens from Douglas County High School, including some from the drama class.
The Valley Cruisers sponsor many local entities. We issued certificates of participation to these teens, to help with their community service requirements. They did a wonderful job and I believe the public should know who these great kids are. I would like to introduce them to you:
Lindsey Cook, Heather Rowe, Fred Rodriguez, Sarah Pabon, Samantha Cobb, Michael Magno, Kira Roberts, Ashley Smith, Annalyse Klekor, Megan Neilon, Cassie Parr, Rysa Bankston, Lee Frediani, Nick Ceglia, Allison Schembri, Raechel Prosser, Mary Brockhage, Corey Jessup, Sarah Rowe, Paul Mannelly, Stella Baldauskas and Julie Rodriguez.
