Allison M. Ecklund and Caleb H. Shepard were wed on Aug. 25, 2007, at Edgewood Golf and Country Club in South Lake Tahoe, with the Rev. Pete Nelson officiating.
Allison is the daughter of Patrick and Dawn King of Gardnerville and Bob Ecklund of Reno. She is a 2001 graduate of Douglas High School and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a degree in human development and family studies.
The groom is the son of Jeff and Sheri Shepard of Boise, Idaho. He is a 2001 graduate of Sparks High School and graduated from UNR with a degree in psychology. The maid of honor was Aubrey King, bridesmaid was Taylor Gordon, flower girls were Cameron and Riley Russo, and the ring bearer was Dexter Russo.
The groom's brother Luke Shepard served as the best man and his groomsman was Ken Kopal.
Friends and family celebrated with the couple at an evening reception at Edgewood. The couple honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii, and are attending Argosy University in Atlanta, Ga., where they are pursuing their graduate studies.
