The independent aviation news Web site AVweb, awarded its fixed base operator of the week ribbon to Hutt Aviation and Soar Minden at Minden-Tahoe Airport.
Both were nominated by the Civil Air Patrol's Brent Ludlow, who spent quite a few hours there during the last two weeks as part of the search for missing aviator Steve Fossett. The Web site reports Ludlow spoke highly of both operators and the airport's Taildragger Restaurant
"You all made us welcome and promptly responded to anything we needed," he wrote in his nomination. "You helped all of us in the Civil Air Patrol to do our job, and I hope everyone flying through there stops to enjoy the hospitality that we have seen."
