Allen Bartshe
1907-2007
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church for Allen Bartshe, 100, who died Sept. 16, 2007, in Gardnerville.
Mr. Bartshe was born March 27, 1907, in Hermitage, Mo., to Elmer Ira and Iva Diane Allen Bartshe.
Previously of Santa Ana, Calif., Mr. Bartshe was a graduate of Missouri State Teachers College and worked as a real estate broker.
He married Doris Dawn, May 9, 1942, in Salome, Ariz.
He enjoyed fishing, rock hunting, Pinocle and his friends. He was a resident of Gardnerville for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Bartshe of Gardnerville; sons and daughters-in-law Robert and Katherine Bartshe of Los Angeles, R. Timothy and Barbara Bartshe of Golden, Colo. and two nieces.
Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville. Inurnment will take place at Melrose Abbey in Orange, Calif. The family requests any memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army in Carson City.
