Douglas speech and debate looking for volunteers

The Douglas High School speech and debate team will be hosting the annual Sage Brush District Tournament April 11 and 12 at Douglas High School.

More than 200 students from 17 high schools in Northern Nevada will compete in both speaking and debating events over the two days, competing for a limited amount of entries to the national tournament in Las Vegas this June.

Volunteers are needed to judge the event.

Snacks and beverages, as well as lunch and dinner, will be provided for those able to judge.

There will be a judging clinic 6-7 p.m. April 10 in the Douglas High School library.

Attendance is not required but helpful.
