The Douglas softball team capped off its three-game sweep of North Valleys in resounding fashion Saturday afternoon as pitchers Stephanie Harper and Dorothy Sliva combined for a no-hitter.
Douglas took 15-4 and 13-0 wins over the Panthers in Reno Saturday.
Each pitcher struck out two and neither had a walk. But for two Tiger errors, it would have been a perfect game.
Just the same, the Tigers shined in the doubleheader. Mackenzie Cauley doubled, tripled and drove in five runs on the day, Katrina Morgan doubled and drove in five runs, Lauren Hoppe doubled twice and drove in four runs, Emily Weaver tripled and drove in three and Harper and Morgan Blomstrom each drove in two.
Maddy Gilbert, Rebecca Trute and Tara Paiement each had one RBI.
Douglas improved to 12-5
