Weekly update on former Tiger standouts

Shawn Estes, P, Portland Beavers (Padres AAA): Estes threw six innings of shutout ball against Fresno over the weekend, striking out four and walking one. He picked up the win and also collected a hit at the plate..

Bryan Miller, sr., OF, Troy University: Miller currently leads the country in doubles with 16. He is second on the team in batting average at .333 and he has driven in 23 runs on the year. He also has a triple and two home runs. Troy is 20-12 on the year and 9-3 in Sun Belt Conference play.

Chris Honer, jr., P, Point Loma: Honer is carrying a 3.82 ERA with a 5-4 record and 35 strikeouts in 10 starts. Point Loma is 19-17 on the year overall and 12-12 in conference play.

Phil Mannelly, fr., IF, Feather River: Mannelly is batting .444 with two doubles, four triples, a home run and 19 RBI in 12 starts for the Golden Eagles.

Cory Eilers, fr., DH, Feather River: Eilers is batting .270 with a double, a triple and four RBIs.

Roman Davis, Rfr., C, Feather River: Feather River is 16-1 in conference play and 20-14 overall. Davis is batting .273 in 10 games played with two RBIs.

Niko Saladis, fr., RF, Feather River: Saladis has started 26 games for the Golden Eagles and is batting .280 with two doubles, a triple, 14 RBIs and 10 stolen bases.

Ryan Laing, fr., 1B, Pratt College (Kansas): Pratt is 9-15 in conference play and 16-24 overall.

Chris Balcom-Miller, fr., P/IF, West Valley College: Balcom-Miller has started 18 of 19 games for the Vikings and has seven RBIs. He has 18 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched.

Kristy Olsen, sr., 3B/OF, Iowa State: The Cyclones dropped a pair of games to national No. 6 Texas A&M Saturday. Olsen has started 33 games and is batting .224 with a double, an RBI and eight stolen bases.

Brittany Puzey, jr., OF, Nevada: The Wolf Pack worked its way into the top 25 rankings at No. 25 after taking two games from nationally-ranked Fresno State over the weekend. Puzey is batting .234 with 14 RBIs, 10 doubles, one triple and three home runs. She has stolen eight bases and started all 41 of Nevada's games.

Kayla Dunn, jr., P/IF, Utah State: Dunn was named the Utah State student-athlete of the week as the Aggies posted a 4-1 record last week. Dunn is hitting .344 on the year with six doubles, three home runs and 15 RBIs.
